Workforce Development Collections
The Upjohn Institute for Employment Research. Workforce Development Collections research focuses on labor markets, addressing several core areas: the causes of unemployment and the effectiveness of social safety net programs in mitigating its effects; education and training systems to improve workers’ employability and earnings; and the influence of state and local economic development policies on local labor markets. The Institute also assesses emerging trends affecting workers and labor markets in its core research areas.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one of the major operating components of the Department of Health and Human Services, conducts critical science and provides health information that protects our nation from health, safety and security threats, both foreign and in the U.S. Whether diseases start at home or abroad, are chronic or acute, curable or preventable, human error or deliberate attack, CDC fights disease and supports communities and citizens to do the same. As the nation’s health protection agency, CDC saves lives and protects people from health threats.
