I provide straightforward, practical strategies, tools, and capacity so nonprofits and their funders are able to track impact and tell compelling and powerful impact stories.

I have transformed traditional program evaluation into a first-of-its-kind strategy and toolbox which puts tracking and using impact within reach of social sector partners.

The ImpactStory™ Strategy emerged from years of learning partnerships with clients and innovators in the sector. I am grateful to every single one.

I have extensive experience providing workshops from 1 hr to 2 days in length.

Most recently, I’ve spoken at the USAging Conference, the Grantmakers for Effective Organizations Conference, and the Northwest Arkansas Conference.

I provide workshops across Virginia through the Center for Nonprofit Excellence in Charlottesville, VA and their partners across the Commonwealth. I’ve also provided workshops for the Virginia Legal Aid Society, the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge, the Central Virginia Center for Nonprofit Excellence, the VACOG Conference, and the Presidential Precinct.

Nationally, you can attend workshops with me through the Nonprofit Hub and the Nonprofit Leadership Lab.

Don’t just take my word for it.

I just want to express that the clarity and soundness of reasoning that your map/documents brought to our work has been TRANSFORMATIONAL as in it literally has reframed some of the work that development is doing – we are no longer being treated as unhelpful antagonists by development, and in large part the way your work encapsulated ours from a big-picture perspective helped us get there! Thank you thank you!

-Rose Cole,
Director of Community Engagement
Madison House

Our team didn’t have the capacity to create the impact measurement tool without the help of Partnerships for Strategic Impact. The Strategic Impact Map helped our stakeholders understand our focus areas and what evidence-based approaches help move the needle. Our stakeholders are looking forward to the next phases of the project.

-Mollie Brooks
Genworth Foundation

I want to thank you again for the Strategic Impact Map workshop you led. Our organization used your recommendation to consolidate some of our core strategies, cutting them down from 5 to 3 and are using the Strategic Impact Map to guide data tracking. I know you’re on a personal mission to help improve the work of the local non-profit sector, so I want to make sure you know that you’re fulfilling your goals.
